The recent earthquake in Syria and Turkey has led to an influx of displaced people moving east toward the regions surrounding Qamishli, where Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights maintains a treatment center. It is expected that many more internally displaced persons will arrive seeking shelter, refuge, and other humanitarian services. Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights’ treatment center in Qamishli, Syria, is working with local authorities and preparing to provide trauma therapy support to the growing number of internally displaced persons arriving in the region.
