Home » Using Dialogue to Reject Fanaticism & Extremism in Alqosh
Peaceful coexistence requires dialogue.
On May 24th Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights invited religious & ethnic leaders of #Alqosh together with representatives of grassroots NGOs to discuss common goals for peace and the role dialogue plays in rejecting fanaticism & extremism.
In this seminar lead by our own trainer and dialogue program coordinator Viyan Azad Shauqi, participants discussed the role media, education, cultural and religious institutions play in creating peaceful dialogue.
This event drew the attention of national and local media, allowing participants to amplify their message for peace.
In Jiyan Foundation’s dialogue program, our goal is to achieve peaceful coexistence between all the religions and ethnicities of Iraq and Kurdistan Region.
